HGF Munich - Neumarkter Str. launched following the merger of HGF and Patronus IP in March 2019.
Munich is the centre of industrial property rights in Europe, the seat of the German Patent and Trade Mark Office as well as the European Patent Office with its Boards of Appeal and a large part of its Examining and Oppositions Divisions are located in Munich. This office allows us to be able to reach out quickly to the offices and courts to represent our clients’ interests. Dr Markus Zoller Partner
Markus handles prosecution and litigation cases in various areas of the life science field including biotechnology, chemistry, pharmacy or genetic engineering. In particular, he has experience in various fields like immunobiology, medical devices, protein chemistry and laboratory devices. Further, Markus assists clients in trademark and design matters.

Christian Himmler Patent Director
Christian has considerable experience in drafting and prosecuting patent applications in the fields of mechanical engineering, medical engineering and renewable energies. Practice areas include fuel cells, medical devices, utility engineering, automotive and aerospace technologies. Furthermore he deals with opposition and appeal procedures.

Dr Jens Kienitz Patent Attorney
Jens completed a PhD in molecular physics at the University of Hamburg. He focused on the orientation of state selected molecules in mixed strong DC and laser fields.

Dr Susanna Krapp Trainee Patent Attorney
Susanna joined HGF’s chemistry group in Munich in March 2020. She completed her master`s degree in Molecular Science at the Friedrich-Alexander University in Erlangen. She wrote her dissertation about stress granule components and their interaction with plant viruses.

Alexander Mann Trainee Patent Attorney
Alexander studied physics at the University of Tübingen, Germany. His main focus was on the orientation control of organic semiconductor thin films.

Aušra Morkūnaitė Trainee Patent Attorney
Aušra completed a LL.M. in IP law and a master’s degree in chemistry at the Ludwig-Maximilians-University in Munich. She wrote her thesis at the Centre for Solar Energy and Hydrogen Research in Stuttgart. She focused on the stability of perovskite-based thin-layer solar cells. Aušra joined the Munich office in March 2019.
