Dr Susan Keston Partner
Susan has a combined honours degree in Physics and Astronomy and a doctorate in Computational Particle Physics from the University of Glasgow. Prior to joining the patent profession she worked as an engineer on 3G mobile telecommunications research and development.

Craig Thomson Partner
Craig has considerable experience in providing pragmatic, commercially focused advice to a wide-range of clients and in relation to biotechnological, pharmaceutical and chemical inventions. As well as patent drafting and prosecution, Craig advises on the development of company-wide IP strategies, preparing for or carrying out funding/acquisition due diligence, and advising on aggressive/defensive strategies in relation to third party IP.

Dr Jamie Thomson Partner
Jamie has over 20 years’ experience in the patent profession, specialising in the field of chemistry, particularly medical devices, pharmaceuticals and performance chemicals. As well as drafting and prosecuting patent applications, he handles contentious EPO opposition and appeal proceedings, provides strategic advice on IP portfolios, and opinions on the infringement and validity of patents.

He has represented a range of local and international companies across these technologies for more than 20 years. Dr Andrew McGettrick Patent Director
Andrew is an experienced European and Chartered UK Patent Attorney. His career to date has focused largely on drafting and prosecution work for a wide range of clients, including multinational companies, universities and high tech spin out companies. Andrew is also a European Design Attorney.

Dr Jerry Bretherton Patent Director
Jerry has over a decade of experience in the patent profession, specialising in chemical and mechanical technologies, with experience of medical device, chemical formulation, solid state and process chemistries, composites and other materials cases. As well as drafting and prosecuting patent applications, he provides FTO and strategic IP advice and handles oppositions and other oral proceedings before the EPO.
