Experience

Jennifer is passionate about obtaining commercially relevant protection for her clients' innovations.

Prior to joining the patent profession, Jennifer held technology transfer positions within public sector research organisations. In these roles, Jennifer worked to identify and protect new products developed by researchers and healthcare professionals.

Jennifer has over 10 years' experience of working with individual inventors, small to medium size enterprises, as well as multi national companies and overseas attorneys.

A Fellow of the Institute of Materials, Minerals and Mining, Jennifer has an academic background in materials science and engineering. She is particularly interested in the development of materials technologies that improve the impact of the construction and aerospace industries on the environment.

As a patent attorney, Jennifer has worked on inventions relating to new alloy compositions, materials processing and testing equipment and cast components for a range of applications. Jennifer has worked with clients in the automotive, aerospace, construction, heavy machinery and medical device industries.

Jennifer works with clients to understand their commercial objectives and uses her knowledge and experience to tailor her work accordingly. Her experience includes portfolio and budget management, advising on filing strategies, drafting, filing and prosecuting patent applications around the world and advising on freedom to operate.
