James joined HGF in 2017 moving from a specialist digital and technology legal team. He trained in the Leeds office of an international law firm qualifying in 2013 and has experience working in-house for a major financial services provider as well as in the pharmaceutical sector. Prior to completing his training contract James graduated with an undergraduate law degree from the University of Birmingham as well as a Masters in Corporate and Commercial Law from the University of York.
Working across a variety of sectors including technology, life sciences and retail, James specialises in transactional work including brand management and licensing. He also advises on wider commercial issues including contractual matters and data protection.
James has been listed as ‘Recommended’ by Legal 500 and is a member of the Society of Computers and Law and the Licensing Executive Society B and I.
