HGF announced a new Chair to its Management Board, Lucy Johnson. Lucy was previously head of the firm’s Engineering Group.  Effective immediately Lucy succeeds Jason Lumber who held the position since 2008. Jason will remain as a valued and committed leader of HGF’s European trade mark practice.

Lucy Johnson, Chair comments “I feel very privileged to take on the role at such an exciting time for the firm as we negotiate a fast moving landscape, with changes such as the UP & UPC as well as the advances in the use of technology and hybrid working. Lucy has built a career in leadership, having studied leadership and management for the past 10 years including team development, strategy, leading people and change.  Under her leadership the Engineering Group has become a successful, growing and collaborative team.

Lucy’s new role as Chair will include a continued focus on client winning and management.  She will be an ambassador for HGF to help build on the reputation of the firm with the aim of developing new business and attracting the best future talent to the firm. Lucy is passionate about being a champion for creating a diverse, equitable and inclusive firm where opportunity, progression and development are available for all.

The firm has also appointed Hsu Min Chung and Mike Nelson to its Management Board to serve for a 3 year period.

This appointment is part of a rigorous process for leadership positions which occurs every 3 years.
