Experience

Victoria joined HGF in 2016 from academia where she had been working as a post-doctoral researcher within several international collaborations for three years, having previously obtained a PhD in Astrophysics in 2013. Victoria's research involved developing new methods of image analysis and model fitting to characterize the properties of galaxies far back in cosmic time and interpreting these results within the current framework of galaxy formation simulations. She was also previously involved with research into the detectability of extra-solar planets from transit observations during her undergraduate Masters project.

Since joining HGF, Victoria has gained experience drafting and prosecuting patent applications in various fields including medtech, telecommunications, artificial intelligence, autonomous vehicles and power management.

Victoria qualified as a European Patent Attorney in 2022.
