Experience

Jonathan is a leading European brand lawyer. He protects and defends businesses’ brands through trade mark and design registration and enforce their legal rights.

Jonathan acts for some of the world’s largest and best-known companies, with particular experience in the automotive, financial services, pharmaceuticals and consumer products sectors. He is equally at home advising start-ups and SMEs on everything to do with the legal protection and enforcement of their brands and designs.

Since 2006 he has served on the Law and Practices Committee of the Chartered Institute of Trade Mark Attorneys (CITMA). He has chaired the Committee’s IPO and Marks and Designs Forum Working Group and currently also sits on the Litigation working group. He has previously served two terms on each of INTA’s Legislation and Regulation (Europe) Subcommittee, and Classification Subcommittee.
