As part of this year’s Leeds Digital Festival, Nexus Leeds is holding an event on 21st September 2021.

‘The Future of Innovation: YOUR data’ event will consider the current research, technology, and innovations to support predictions for the future of consumer data. HGF’s Senior IP Solicitor James Talbot will be joining the panel discussion, where the panelists will discuss:

  • How much and exactly what kind of data do we share on a daily basis (sometimes without knowing)?
  • Who, if anyone, is ‘listening in’?
  • How can we take better control of who we give access to our personal data?
  • What are the benefits, challenges and ethical considerations for data sharing?
  • What will the future of data protection look like?
