Trade Mark Attorney
Lauren is a Chartered Trade Mark Attorney in HGF’s Trade Mark team. She Joined HGF in January 2012 and qualified as a Registered Trade Mark Attorney in summer 2015.
Since joining HGF, Lauren has gained experience in all areas of trade mark, design and copyright law. She has worked with companies and individuals ranging from large multinationals to small business start-ups and university spin offs.
Lauren now acts for her clients providing decisive and commercial advice in relation to IP audits, pre-filing searches, trade mark and design filings and strategies, the prosecution and enforcement of trade mark, design and copyright rights and the cost-effective maintenance of existing trade mark portfolios. She also assists her clients in new brand and product launches, settlement negotiations and licences and assignment agreements.
Lauren is a member of HGF’s Retail Team and has particular experience acting for and advising retailers. She regularly delivers training to these retailers at HGF's annual Retail Conference and has also prepared tailored sessions for internal management, legal and designs teams.
Lauren is also a member of the European Communities Trade Mark Association (ECTA) and is on the ECTA Internet Committee and attends the ECTA annual conference.
In July 2017, Lauren qualified by examination as an Irish Trade Mark Agent and thus is qualified to act before the Irish Patent Office on trade mark and design matters.
