Experience

Rosie is a European and UK Chartered Patent Attorney with a PhD in Biochemistry and over ten years' experience advising clients in the life sciences sector. She has worked with a broad range of organisations, from start-ups and universities to multinational companies.

Her practice focuses on biotechnology, pharmaceuticals and medical devices, with experience spanning patent drafting and prosecution, freedom-to-operate and due diligence analyses, and complex opposition and appeal proceedings. She advises clients on protecting and managing intellectual property in a way that supports their wider commercial objectives.

Rosie also has a particular interest in agritech and sustainable innovation. Outside of work, she established and continues to manage a community wildlife garden in Belfast, coordinating volunteers to create and maintain a shared green space. This has further developed her interest in plant biology and the innovation challenges facing the agritech sector.

In addition to her private practice experience, Rosie spent two years seconded as in-house patent counsel at a FTSE 100 multinational, giving her valuable insight into corporate IP strategy and the practical considerations that shape business decisions around innovation.
