Experience

Romain started his career in academia where he acquired a large amount of experience in the fields of optics, electronics and quantum technologies, with notable experiences in France, Sweden, Switzerland and Ireland.
In 2017, he obtained a PhD from Sorbonne University in Paris proving expertise in laser technologies and electronics. He then worked as a scientist in a competitive research group in EPFL in Switzerland where he lead various scientific projects through international collaborations focusing on Photonics and Quantum measurements.

He moved in to intellectual property in 2019, working for a large US firm where he specialised in IP for medical devices and quantum computing. In 2022, he joined a leading French firm while specialising in patents related to artificial intelligence, especially when applied to the automotive industry. He joined HGF in early 2025 and brings his expertise in physics and AI-powered inventions.
