Experience

Nick has a wealth of experience in IP matters and specialises in the chemical and pharmaceutical sectors. He has worked with a wide range of clients including universities, SMEs and large pharmaceutical companies.

After completing a Chemistry degree at York University and a PhD at Manchester University, Nick spent several years working at AstraZeneca, both as a senior research scientist and an in-house patent attorney, before joining the HGF team in their Manchester office.

Through all aspects of patent portfolio management from filing strategies to patent drafting and prosecution, and from patentability to freedom-to-operate opinions, Nick provides in depth, client-focused advice and support.
