Experience

John has twenty-six years’ experience working in the field of trade marks. After qualifying as a solicitor and a short period as a commercial litigator John began his career in trade marks with a multi-national pharmaceutical company, moving on to head the London trade mark department of one of the world’s largest international law firms, where he practised for 11 years. Subsequently he spent a further 11 years as head of trade marks with a London-based boutique IP firm, before joining HGF as a consultant in 2018. His experience includes all aspects of trade mark portfolio management, trade mark litigation, and parallel import litigation, in industry sectors from pharmaceuticals to computer games, high street retail to luxury brands.
