Experience

Alexandra joined the profession in 2019 at another top tier patent firm, where she qualified as both a European Patent Attorney and Chartered Patent Attorney.

Prior to joining the profession, Alexandra completed a Masters in Chemistry at Durham University where she graduated top of her class, being awarded the Mastership of Chemistry Prize upon graduation. Following this, Alexandra completed a PhD, also at Durham University, where she designed and built a time-resolved spectroscopy suite comprised of three different experimental techniques for studying the hydrated electron in different solvation environments.

With Alexandra’s diverse academic background spanning across chemistry and physics, Alexandra’s technical expertise spans a wide range of sectors including chemistry, food science, light technologies, medical devices, material science, energy and mechanical engineering.

Alexandra has worked with a range of clients from large multinational companies to SMEs and single inventors. Alexandra takes pride in developing a relationship with her clients and making the patenting process accessible for her clients to develop bespoke strategies that best suit their commercial goals and business needs.

Alexandra can assist her clients across the lifespan of a patent. In particular, Alexandra has a wealth of experience in innovation capture, application drafting, filing strategy and prosecution. Alexandra is also experienced in post-grant patent matters such as oppositions and advising on matters such as freedom to operate, validity and infringement opinions.
