IQPC Global IP Exchange Europe 2025

March 2025

HGF is sponsoring the IQPC Global IP Exchange Europe, which will be held on the 11th-12th March 2025 in Meliá, Berlin.

Head of Electronics, Chris Benson, will be chairing the event and Partner Susan Keston will be hosting the roundtable session, ‘How could differences in claim construction impact your business-critical patents in Europe?’

In this roundtable, we will explore some of the UPC’s substantive decisions on claim interpretation and discuss how we can navigate this landscape to draft and prosecute applications in Europe to make them more robust to challenges. Although at the UPC up to the end of January 2025, the patent is deemed valid as granted or in amendment form in over 70% of cases, for patents considered invalid the grounds of novelty, inventive step, and added matter were equally likely to be the source of invalidity.

Attorney-at-law Julia Saladin and Partner Harpreet Dhaliwal will also be attending the event.

Global IP Exchange Europe is the leading, annual, invitation-only event that brings together 70 leaders from across Intellectual Property, Patent Management and Brand Protection over the course of two days to network and learn about he IP world’s most important issues.
