Experience

Richard joined the patent profession in 2017 and has experience drafting and prosecuting patent applications for a broad range of technologies, including: chemical; medical devices; aerospace; and renewables. Richard has particular experience assisting SME’s, with a focus on IP portfolio management and filing strategies with an emphasis on commercialising and exploiting their IP.

Prior to joining the profession, Richard obtained a PhD in biochemistry from the University of Birmingham, with his research focussing on theranostic gold nanoparticle systems.
