Experience

Guy is a UK and European Patent Attorney working with patent applications for physics and engineering inventions, with particular experience in optoelectronic systems, medical imaging, magnetic sensor systems, wind turbine systems, packaging and dispensing devices. Guy joined HGF in 2010 and has a background in physics, with a masters degree from the University of Oxford, and research experience in semiconductor devices.

Guy works with global corporations, SMEs and universities to provide commercially focused advice which has supported the sale of companies through the development of valuable patent portfolios. He draws on industry experience within the patents department of a multi-national optoelectronics manufacturer, working across the full life of patent rights, from invention harvesting, through product launch, to long-term portfolio management and analysis of competitor infringement and validity.
