Experience

Esmae graduated from the University of Birmingham with a first class honours degree in Natural Sciences (Biochemistry major) with a year abroad at ETH and UZH in Switzerland.

She has a broad bioscience background and studied in the areas of biophysics, biomaterials, neuroscience, omics for personalised medicine, and biochemistry, where she achieved the highest mark in the module Chemistry for Biochemists and mainly focused on genetics and biologic therapeutics.

Whilst studying at UZH, she completed a lab project investigating the anchor cell as a model for the initiation of tumour cell metastasis using gene therapies alongside CRISPR/Cas9 technology. In her final year, she completed an interdisciplinary research project investigating bioink formulations for in situ bone tissue regeneration.
