Experience

Catriona joined HGF in April 2023 as a trainee patent attorney within the Life Sciences team.

She graduated from the University of Edinburgh in 2013 with a first-class BSc (Hons) in Biological Sciences (Genetics).

Catriona completed a PhD in Biological Sciences at the University of Aberdeen in February 2019. During her PhD she studied gene expression in the cat flea via next generation sequencing and bioinformatic analysis. She also developed techniques for performing RNA interference in the cat flea, demonstrating for the first time that RNA interference is achievable in the species.
