Alia has extensive experience in drafting and prosecuting patent applications, particularly before the European Patent Office. She has a strong track record of helping clients navigate the patent process to support their commercial and innovation goals.

With a technical background in chemical engineering, Alia is especially well-suited to working with inventions involving fluid mechanics, heat transfer and material separation systems. Her practice spans a wide range of technologies in engineering and physics, including medical devices, subsea devices and various manufacturing processes.

Before entering the IP profession, Alia gained industry experience in both the automotive and oil and gas sectors, giving her insight into the commercial realities and technical challenges faced by inventors and companies alike.
