HGF Shortlisted for Women in Diversity Awards 2026

November 2025

We are proud to announce that we’ve been shortlisted in the Diversity and Inclusion Initiative or Programme of the Year category for the Women in Diversity in Law Awards 2026, recognising the significant steps we’ve taken to address menopause and menstruation in the workplace.

As one of Europe’s largest intellectual property firms, HGF is committed to creating a workplace where everyone feels supported. With 200+ specialists across Europe, we recognise the importance of breaking long-standing taboos around menopause, menstruation, and ultimately aim to build on our culture of openness and practical support.

Launched in October 2023, our Menopause Affinity Group provides allyship, expert-led discussions, confidential support, and a safe space for colleagues to share lived experiences. Working closely with our People Team, the group has driven meaningful change, from free period products in offices and desk fans for hot flushes, to access to occupational health support, coaching, and Registered British Menopause Society Specialist counselling.

With women making up 65% of our workforce, and 22% aged 45-55, this work matters. Most importantly it is shaped by ongoing listening, conversation and advocacy at every level, including visible support from our CEO.

Our nomination reflects the courage of colleagues who shared their stories, the commitment of those leading change, and the belief that wellbeing and inclusion must be continuous and collaborative.
