Celebrating Four Years With In2ScienceUK

April 2023

HGF is delighted to mark and celebrate our four-year partnership with the award-winning charity, In2Science UK.

We are proud to support young people in this year’s In2Science programme as it continues to promote diversity and inclusion in the sector and provide life-changing opportunities for young people to thrive in STEM fields.

Our partnership has made a significant difference in the lives of young people from underrepresented backgrounds in the In2Science programme, which empowers young people from disadvantaged backgrounds to achieve their potential through life-changing opportunities that give them insights into STEM careers and research and boost their skills and confidence.

Luke McKelvey, Development Manager at In2Science, said:

“HGF has contributed significantly to In2scienceUK’s mission to promote greater diversity and inclusion within STEM and intellectual property. HGF is our longest-serving IP partner, and In2scienceUK aims to continue working with HGF to promote greater diversity, inclusion, and social mobility for underrepresented young people.”

Diversity, equity, and inclusivity are at the heart of our values, and we are committed to supporting people and helping them flourish and reach their full potential.

Claire Johnson, DEI Specialist at HGF, said:

“The opportunities presented by the In2Science scheme are invaluable for nurturing young people’s enthusiasm for STEM subjects and giving them a platform to develop their own talents.

“Providing hands on experience in a scientific environment at an early age can spark a life-long enthusiasm for science, giving students from disadvantaged backgrounds the vision and confidence that they can flourish within a career in STEM. HGF’s support for In2Science also aligns with our DEI principles and our aim of promoting social mobility in STEM.”

As a charity, In2scienceUK can only continue to expand and help more young people from disadvantaged backgrounds, through their partnerships and support from universities and research Institutions.
