The first session of the seminar series will deal with the topic of UPC.

The preliminary phase of the Agreement on the Unified Patent Court is now underway and the Unified Patent Court (UPC) will become operational on June 1. In our seminar on the UPC and the European patent with unitary effect, or unitary patent (UP), we explain how you can obtain unitary protection for most of the EU member states with a single application to the European Patent Office. We discuss the impact of the UPC on your existing European patent portfolios and the possibility of a unitary procedure for enforcing European patents. In addition to the basics, recent developments related to the UPC will be covered and you will be informed of any news.
