IP often underpins the commercial value of a business organisation. Yet many smaller companies do not have the resources to employ in-house IP specialists and may fail to identify and properly protect valuable IP. The current climate of economic uncertainty raises challenges, but also opportunities, and developing an effective IP strategy will continue to be a key factor in business success.
