Experience

Christian has considerable experience in drafting and prosecuting patent applications in the fields of mechanical engineering, medical engineering and renewable energies. Practice areas include fuel cells, medical devices, utility engineering, automotive and aerospace technologies. Furthermore he deals with opposition and appeal procedures.

Christian is a fully qualified European Patent Attorney (EPA), with experience in the in the field of industrial property rights since 2006. In that time, Christian has been involved in all aspects of patent law practice, including the preparation (drafting) and prosecution of German, European, International (PCT) and overseas patent applications, as well as post-grant issues such as opposition and appeal proceedings and develops patent strategies for clients. Christian also handles non-European patent prosecution especially in USA, China, Japan, Australia and Canada.

His experience covers a variety of subject-matter in preparing patent applications and the corresponding granting process in the fields of mechanical engineering, aeronautical engineering, automotive engineering, utility engineering, medical engineering and renewable energies.

Christian earned his mechanical engineering degree at the Munich University of Applied Sciences. During his studies, he completed a first internship at a company involved in the aerospace industry, where he dealt with engines and valves for rockets. A second internship in the field of regenerative energies involved the development of fuel cells. He gained further experience as part of an internship in the automotive industry, and as a student trainee at a company that certified automotive components and at a company that was active in the field of fuel cell development.
