Sam is a Business Development Manager based in the Leeds office. Having joined in February 2024, Sam works closely with Marketing Director, Jacqui Western, and the partners to build out the firm's BD functions, putting new best practice processes in place.

Before starting at HGF, Sam spent 13 years working in the London Business Development teams for various City law firms in an international capacity across a range of legal disciplines and sectors, such as Intellectual Property, Dispute Resolution, Finance & Financial Regulation, Real Estate, Shipping, Competition, Technology, Media & Telecoms and Financial Services - as well as two years working in Dubai and Abu Dhabi in a regional role.

Sam has developed a wealth of experience in business strategy, pitching, presenting, client targeting, client relationship management, PR, budget control, event management and written marketing communication.
