Energy Transition Zone (ETZ) Masterclass – Demystifying Energy Transition

June 2023

Event date: 28th June 2023

HGF will be attending the Energy Transition Zone (ETZ) Demystifying Energy Transition Masterclass on the 28th of June in Aberdeen.

This masterclass will aim to demystify the energy transition giving valuable insights into procurement strategies, skills development, and sales enablement as we continue the shift from fossil-based systems of energy production and consumption to renewable energy sources like wind and solar. The event will delve into the intricacies of the energy transition, shedding light on the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead.

HGF Patent Attorney Jillian MacCormack will be delivering the session: ‘Intellectual property essentials for the energy transition’

The energy transition requires companies to make a significant investment in innovation. Some will need to pivot their existing technologies and expertise to provide solutions in renewable and cleaner energy. Those same companies, and others, will also provide entirely new solutions as the transition progresses.  This innovation will hold the key to achieving net zero, and has the potential to create significant value for companies, value which can be protected and leveraged through intellectual property (IP).

The session will cover some of the key issues presented by the energy transition and how to tackle your IP strategy in the face of change.
