Dr Craig Morrison

Trainee Patent Attorney

Craig graduated from Sheffield University, UK in 2011 with a first class MEng degree in Mechanical Engineering. Following this, Craig moved to the University of Manchester also in the UK, to undertake a PhD in Nuclear Engineering.

After completing an MEng degree in Mechanical Engineering, Craig undertook a PhD through the Nuclear FiRST Doctoral Training Centre, developing and applying knowledge across the whole of the nuclear industry. His research focused on the modelling of damage and fracture of structural materials used in the nuclear industry. During his PhD, Craig published numerous journal papers and presented work at several international conferences.

Craig joined HGF in September 2015 as a Trainee Patent Attorney, working from the York office as part of the Physics and Engineering team. Craig also holds a post-graduate certification in Intellectual Property Law from Bournemouth University.

Craig has particular experience of patent matters in the fields of energy, oil and gas, subsea engineering and medical devices.
