Dr Craig Morrison
Trainee Patent Attorney
Craig graduated from Sheffield University in 2011 with a first class MEng degree in Mechanical Engineering. Following this, Craig moved to the University of Manchester to undertake a PhD in Nuclear Engineering, specialising in computational solid mechanics.
During his undergraduate studies Craig developed and applied knowledge across a broad range of engineering disciplines, including placements in the aerospace manufacturing sector.
After completing his MEng degree Craig undertook a PhD through the Nuclear FiRST Doctoral Training Centre. His research focused on the modelling of damage and fracture in materials such as nuclear graphite and concrete. During his PhD, Craig published numerous journal papers and presented work at several international conferences.
Craig joined HGF in September 2015 as a trainee patent attorney, working from the York office as part of the Physics and Engineering team. Craig also holds a post-graduate certification in Intellectual Property Law from Bournemouth University.
