Dr Christopher Mellor

Senior Patent Attorney

Christopher obtained a first class honours degree in Chemistry and a DPhil in physical chemistry, both from the University of Oxford.  His doctoral research focused on the study and manipulation of colloidal particles, and how such particles interact with complex electromagnetic fields. 

Christopher then completed a post-doctoral research position in single molecule fluorescence microscopy at the National Institute for Medical Research in London, and presented his work at several international conferences.

Christopher joined HGF in 2014 from a leading Scottish IP firm, where he qualified as both a UK and European Patent Attorney.

Christopher has experience of drafting and prosecuting patent applications in a wide range of technical fields, including chemistry, life sciences, mechanical and medical devices.
