Basel seminar – New developments in SPCs

Join us on Wednesday 16th September 5:30 – 8:00 pm (CEST) for our seminar on the latest developments in Supplementary Protection Certificates (SPCs) in Europe.

HGF Partner Garreth Duncan will provide an update on key developments in SPC law and discuss the implications for rights holders. Garreth has deep experience in chemical patents, particularly pharmaceuticals, from both private practice and as an in-house attorney at Pfizer, and is an expert in SPCs and regulatory protection for pharmaceutical products.

The presentation will cover:

  • Recent decisions of the CJEU on SPCs and how these are being implemented by the national courts.
  • Pending referrals to the CJEU on SPCs and the key issues the court will be asked to determine.
  • The European Commission’s proposal for reform of the SPC legislation.
