Alastair is a senior executive board member and partner with HGF. He has extensive executive and board experience as an international leader in professional services (international law firm, professional services firms and strategy consultancy), education (further and higher education) and not-for profit (international charity and public/private organisations) sectors.
A corporate lawyer by profession with a 20 year+ career at DLA Piper which included global practice group leadership, Asia Pacific & Middle East leadership and Board and Executive roles; Alastair also brings an understanding of the value of strategic partnerships, mergers, fundraisings and effective governance across all sectors. Alastair is passionate about education, diversity and inclusion and he Chairs Capital City College Group, one of the UK's largest education college groups, he is on the board of The London School of Economics and is a Commissioner to the UK Government's Social Mobility Commission.
