HGF continues to grow across Europe with expansion in Ireland

HGF is pleased to announce that it has boosted its team in Ireland with the addition of a further 3 patent attorneys. Rosi Armstrong and Marie Walsh have both joined the firm as Patent Directors. In addition, Patent Attorney, Cassie Smith has returned to Ireland after a period of working in our Manchester office. The expansion of our expertise in Ireland is the latest step in the firm’s strategic growth across Europe.

This growth comes on the back of the firm’s continued success in Austria, France, Germany, Switzerland and The Netherlands over the last 2 years.

Rosi brings extensive experience and technical expertise to our Electronics team in patenting physics, MedTech, electronics, telecommunications and software inventions. Rosi is well aware of the importance of delivering a business-oriented approach to her clients’ IP. She has in-house attorney experience at a large telecommunication company, and has since worked with many clients to build IP portfolios that have underpinned successful product launches and/or trade sales. She also provides expertise in the protection of inventions through registered designs and design patents and copyright.

Marie is a well-trusted Irish patent practitioner for over 25 years; she is listed as a recommended Patent Attorney in IAM 1000, where comments include:

Marie’s arrival significantly boosts HGF’s local expertise and in particular strengthens our focus on providing commercially relevant and industry-specific IP advice to our clients. Marie joins our Chemistry team bringing extensive business experience across a number of technology areas including; industrial chemistry, material science, polymer chemistry, and pharmaceutical chemistry.  Marie has extensive experience advising in IP strategy as well as Freedom to Operate opinions and has successfully represented clients at Oppositions and Appeals at the EPO.
