L\u2019innovation en mati\u00e8re de num\u00e9risation m\u00e9dicale&nbsp;2D existe depuis longtemps, l\u2019exemple le plus c\u00e9l\u00e8bre \u00e9tant peut-\u00eatre le v\u00e9hicule mobile de radiographie de Marie Curie pendant la Premi\u00e8re Guerre mondiale. Cela est d\u00fb aux avantages disponibles dans la cr\u00e9ation de dispositifs ou d\u2019\u00e9quipements m\u00e9dicaux adapt\u00e9s aux caract\u00e9ristiques ou aux besoins sp\u00e9cifiques des patients, mais cela n\u00e9cessite la capacit\u00e9 d\u2019identifier ces caract\u00e9ristiques ou ces besoins plus pr\u00e9cis\u00e9ment. <\/p>\n<p><strong>L\u2019essor de l\u2019impression m\u00e9dicale&nbsp;3D<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>En septembre&nbsp;2023, l\u2019Office europ\u00e9en des brevets (OEB) a publi\u00e9 un rapport sur le paysage des brevets intitul\u00e9 <em>\u00ab&nbsp;Tendances de l\u2019innovation dans la fabrication additive&nbsp;: brevets dans les technologies d\u2019impression&nbsp;3D&nbsp;\u00bb.<\/em><sup>1<\/sup> Dans ce rapport, les auteurs ont identifi\u00e9 le nombre de familles de brevets ind\u00e9pendantes qui ont \u00e9t\u00e9 publi\u00e9es entre&nbsp;2001 et&nbsp;2020 dans le domaine de la fabrication additive et ont constat\u00e9 que la majorit\u00e9 se trouvait dans les domaines de la sant\u00e9 et de la m\u00e9decine. Il y a eu 9&nbsp;665&nbsp;familles de brevets internationaux publi\u00e9es sur pr\u00e8s de deux d\u00e9cennies, et leur nombre a commenc\u00e9 \u00e0 augmenter rapidement en&nbsp;2013, une tendance confirm\u00e9e par le premier graphique pr\u00e9sent\u00e9 ci-dessous. <\/p>\n<p>L\u2019attrait de l\u2019impression&nbsp;3D pour la technologie m\u00e9dicale est \u00e9vident. Elle offre la possibilit\u00e9 de g\u00e9n\u00e9rer des conceptions sur mesure et sp\u00e9cifiques au patient, elle permet la production de pi\u00e8ces qui ont des g\u00e9om\u00e9tries tr\u00e8s complexes, elle permet de concevoir des pi\u00e8ces avec des caract\u00e9ristiques m\u00e9caniques ou chimiques qui s\u2019int\u00e8grent mieux aux tissus vivants, et elle utilise g\u00e9n\u00e9ralement moins de mat\u00e9riaux que les pi\u00e8ces fabriqu\u00e9es \u00e0 l\u2019aide de la fabrication soustractive. <\/p>\n<p>Au cours de son ascension, l\u2019impression&nbsp;3D a \u00e9t\u00e9 consid\u00e9r\u00e9e par certains comme une solution prohibitivement co\u00fbteuse. Cependant, dans une \u00e9tude de&nbsp;2016 du National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), intitul\u00e9e <em>\u00ab&nbsp;Co\u00fbts et rentabilit\u00e9 de la fabrication additive&nbsp;: examen et discussion de la litt\u00e9rature&nbsp;\u00bb<\/em><sup>2<\/sup>, les auteurs ont d\u00e9termin\u00e9 que le prix moyen de la fabrication additive avait diminu\u00e9 de 51&nbsp;% entre&nbsp;2001 et&nbsp;2011. <\/p>\n<p>Par cons\u00e9quent, avec une demande plus forte dans le secteur des technologies m\u00e9dicales, des progr\u00e8s rapides dans les capacit\u00e9s d\u2019impression&nbsp;3D et une r\u00e9duction spectaculaire des co\u00fbts, il n\u2019est pas surprenant que l\u2019impression&nbsp;3D ait r\u00e9volutionn\u00e9 l\u2019industrie des technologies m\u00e9dicales au cours de la derni\u00e8re d\u00e9cennie.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Les num\u00e9ros de brevet<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Une fa\u00e7on d\u2019examiner les tendances de l\u2019innovation technologique est d\u2019examiner le nombre de d\u00e9p\u00f4ts de brevets. Le nombre de familles de num\u00e9risation m\u00e9dicale&nbsp;3D a commenc\u00e9 \u00e0 augmenter \u00e0 un rythme plus \u00e9lev\u00e9 apr\u00e8s&nbsp;2015. <\/p>\n<p><strong>Corr\u00e9lation entre l\u2019impression&nbsp;3D et la num\u00e9risation&nbsp;3D<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Bien que l\u2019innovation dans la technologie d\u2019impression&nbsp;3D et dans la technologie de num\u00e9risation&nbsp;3D se soit tr\u00e8s probablement produite ind\u00e9pendamment, il est int\u00e9ressant de rechercher une corr\u00e9lation entre les deux domaines technologiques.<\/p>\n<p>Un point de d\u00e9part consiste \u00e0 examiner le nombre total de familles li\u00e9es \u00e0 la fois \u00e0 l\u2019impression m\u00e9dicale&nbsp;3D et \u00e0 la num\u00e9risation m\u00e9dicale&nbsp;3D. En d\u2019autres termes, entre 3&nbsp;% et 5&nbsp;% des familles de brevets d\u2019impression m\u00e9dicale&nbsp;3D sont \u00e9galement class\u00e9es comme \u00e9tant li\u00e9es \u00e0 la num\u00e9risation&nbsp;3D. <\/p>\n<h5><strong>Conclusion<\/strong><\/h5>\n<p>Bien qu\u2019il soit peu probable que l\u2019innovation en mati\u00e8re d\u2019impression m\u00e9dicale&nbsp;3D m\u00e8ne directement \u00e0 l\u2019innovation en mati\u00e8re de num\u00e9risation&nbsp;3D, et vice versa, ces chiffres montrent que l\u2019innovation en mati\u00e8re de num\u00e9risation m\u00e9dicale&nbsp;3D augmente au m\u00eame rythme que l\u2019innovation en mati\u00e8re d\u2019impression m\u00e9dicale&nbsp;3D.<\/p>\n<p>C\u2019est une bonne nouvelle.<\/p>\n<p>\u00c0 mesure que l\u2019impression m\u00e9dicale&nbsp;3D devient plus innovante, cela signifie que les dispositifs et \u00e9quipements m\u00e9dicaux peuvent devenir de plus en plus adapt\u00e9s aux besoins sp\u00e9cifiques des patients.
