Increasingly competitors are looking to how technology can assist winning in such competitive environments. Furthermore, technology is increasingly being applied to aid the search for fitness. New training aids are being developed for measuring and recording fitness and activity levels, and also to bring together even remote participants to make training more enjoyable. We will look at patenting trends relating to sports and fitness technology in Europe and Japan to investigate technical areas that have seen particular growth and which applicants are behind this growth.
