The roadmap\u00a0reviews the landscape of microbiome science and innovation within the UK. The main objective of this document is to\u00a0raise the visibility of the UK\u2019s world leading microbiome science and enable translation of this science to benefit academic institutions, start-ups, SMEs and larger established companies.<\/p>\n<p>It is a collaborative effort of 74 leading academic and industry scientists, including HGF Partner\u00a0<a href=\"\/our-people\/craig-thomson\/\">Craig Thomson<\/a>\u00a0as author, supported with contribution from\u00a0<a href=\"\/our-people\/michelle-davies\/\">Michelle Davies<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0<a href=\"\/our-people\/laura-moran\/\">Dr Lauris Kemp<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>There are 12 distinct sections within the report, which summarise the current state of microbiome research, business and growth opportunities within each sector:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Intestinal Microbiome Transfer<\/li>\n<li>Live Biotherapeutic Products &amp; other Therapeutic Modalities<\/li>\n<li>Personal Care &amp; Hygiene<\/li>\n<li>Nutrition &amp; Wellbeing<\/li>\n<li>Animal Health &amp; Nutrition<\/li>\n<li>AgriFood &amp; Nutrition \u2013 Crop &amp; Soil Health<\/li>\n<li>Regulatory<\/li>\n<li>Manufacturing<\/li>\n<li>Biobanking<\/li>\n<li>Enabling Technologies<\/li>\n<li>Diagnostics<\/li>\n<li>Intellectual property<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/ktn-uk.org\/news\/ktns-microbiome-innovation-network-launches-the-microbiome-strategy-roadmap\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Download the report here<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>KTN Microbiome Strategic Roadmap is now live.
