Survey participants could recommend firms both in general and by specialities, categorised into six sectors.<\/p>\n<p>The sample was collected via research conducted by Statista on relevant company websites, in publications and from the EPI (the Institute of Professional Representatives Before the European Patent Office), the professional body representing European patent attorneys.<\/p>\n<p>HGF has been ranked in Gold \u201cvery frequently recommended\u201d for<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Chemistry &amp; Pharmaceuticals<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Electrical Engineering<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Silver for \u201c frequently recommended\u201d for<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Mechanical Engineering<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Biotechnology &amp; Food<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>And Bronze \u201crecommended\u201d for<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Materials &amp; Nanotechnology<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>HGF has been ranked in the \u2018Gold\u2019, \u2018Silver\u2019 and \u2018Bronze\u2019 bands in The Financial Times special report \u2018Europe\u2019s Leading Patent Law Firms\u2019 published on the 18<sup>th<\/sup>\u00a0June 2020.<\/p>\n<p>The firm is one of the leading firms of IP specialists in Europe, with 21 offices across the UK, Germany, The Netherlands, Switzerland, Austria and Ireland, and is internationally recognised by its peers across these core areas of technology.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.hgf.com\/about-us\/our-people\/dr-andrew-wells\/\">Dr Andrew Wells<\/a>, Head of the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.hgf.com\/services\/patents\/chemistry\/\">Chemistry<\/a>\u00a0team commented,\u00a0<em>\u201cI\u2019m delighted that our excellent reputation in the chemistry field has been recognised. \u00a0This is an excellent achievement for the HGF Chemistry team and for HGF as a whole.
