Experience

Amy joined HGF's Glasgow office in May 2020 as a trainee patent attorney within the Life Sciences team.

She graduated from the University of Glasgow in 2016 with a first-class MSci in Immunology with Work Placement. This included a 12-month placement at GlaxoSmithKline R&D. She was awarded the Fyfe & Arthritis Research Campaign Prize for the best final year student in Immunology.

Amy completed a PhD in Cancer Studies from the University of Glasgow in March 2020. Her research involved using single cell RNA sequencing technology and proteomics to investigate the interaction of leukaemic stem cells and immune cells in the cancer microenvironment. During this time she also undertook an internship in technical transfer, which gave her experience in University spin-outs and the process of commercialising novel technologies.
