IP in Retail Conference 2017

October 2017

Catch up on the issues affecting retailers in 2017. In September 2017, HGF held its fifth annual IP in Retail conference in London and Leeds which attracted over 100 delegates from leading wholesale, retail and fashion brands.

The conference addressed a range of  topical IP issues including how to run a compliant influencer campaign, designs and packaging best practice, parody trade marks, the likely impact of artificial intelligence on trade mark protection and budgeting issues for retailers.

Other areas covered included a review of UK IPO decisions, an update on the EU General Data Protection Regulation and the impact of Brexit on global brand strategies.

Feedback for the event has again been positive, including;

“The conference has been fantastic. Very useful”.

“The bite-size session format is brilliant for the in-house lawyer”.

“Clear, focused, practical examples”.
