Sarah De Ath
Trade Mark Attorney
Sarah joined HGF in December 2016 as a trainee, qualifying as a Chartered Trade Mark Attorney in 2019.
Sarah is involved in all aspects of trade mark law, and advises clients on clearance searches, trade mark prosecution and contentious matters. She has worked with clients across a range of industries, from large corporations to SMEs and start-ups. She has particular experience in handling certification and collective mark applications.
Prior to joining HGF, Sarah worked at a multinational oil and gas company for a number of years, where she provided formalities support to the in-house trade mark team.
Sarah has a BA in English from Queen Mary, University of London and an MA in Viking & Anglo-Saxon Studies from the University of Nottingham, UK. In 2014 she obtained a Diploma in the Common Law from the University of London. She undertook the Postgraduate Certificate in Intellectual Property from Bournemouth University in 2015, before going on to obtain the Professional Certificate in Trade Mark Practice at Nottingham Trent University in 2019.
