Marie is an Intellectual Property Partner at HGF joining the firm in May 2016. Marie is consistently listed in Tier 1 of IP advisors in the UK legal directories, acknowledged as a “leading individual” and “highly respected” and in 2018 was appointed to the Legal 500 Hall of Fame.
In her IP Litigation role, Marie handles disputes across the full spectrum of IP rights including disputes relating to breaches of confidentiality, complex patent litigation, trade mark disputes and counterfeiting, design (registered and unregistered) and copyright infringements.
Whether defending or enforcing IP infringement claims, Marie represents clients in the UK Courts, Court of Justice of the European Union and has extensive experience managing and co-ordinating European litigation and in multiple jurisdictions outside of the EU, including China, US and New Zealand.
Marie advises clients in multiple market sectors, but has particular experience of issues arising in the advanced engineering and manufacture, electronics, aerospace and consumer goods markets and the retail sector.

Whilst best known for her litigation practice, Marie also advises clients on the creation, protection and commercial exploitation of their IP assets, regularly advising on joint venture, consortium, new product development, R&D and licensing agreements. From 1997 to May 2000 she was Legal Director of Global Tier 1 Automotive Supplier TRW Diesel Systems (subsequently Delphi Diesel Systems).
