Experience

Lauren has extensive experience within the profession, having worked in various trade mark roles for over 20 years.

Starting in a support role, Lauren went on to complete a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) with The Open University, while continuing with employment and raising her 3 children. She joined the Leeds Office of HGF in 2013 as a Trade Mark Formalities Officer undertaking paralegal tasks until October 2018 when she began her role as a Trainee Trade Mark Attorney. Lauren qualified as a Chartered Trade Mark Attorney after successfully completing the Postgraduate Certificate in Trade Mark Law and Practice with the Queen Mary University of London and a Professional Certificate in Trade Mark Practice with Nottingham Trent University. Lauren is a member of the Chartered Institute of Trade Mark Attorneys and is governed by the Intellectual Property Regulation Board.

She has knowledge and experience in a vast range of IP protection and enforcement, ranging from clearance searches, filing and prosecuting domestic and overseas trade marks and designs, as well as contentious proceedings at the UK IPO and domain name disputes and takedowns. Lauren delivers sound expertise, knowledge, and strategy on both domestic and overseas IP protection and enforcement.

Lauren works with a diverse range of clients, from large international corporations to SMEs and individuals in varying sectors, including retail, automotive, food and drink, and various technologies.
