Katie Goulding

Trade Mark Attorney

Katie is a Trade Mark Attorney in HGF’s specialist trade mark team. She joined HGF in January 2012 and qualified in August 2015. 

Katie graduated in 2010 with a Law with German Law honours degree from the University of Birmingham and was Called to the Bar of England and Wales in 2011 after successful completion of the BPTC at Nottingham Law School.

Katie’s practice encompasses all aspects of trade mark law including conducting clearance searches, advising on international filing strategies, prosecuting and managing UK, European Community and International trade marks, advising on infringement and passing off, and representing clients in domain name disputes.

Katie is a keen advocate. She has represented clients in ex partes hearings at the UK IPO and has an exceptional success rate in overcoming distinctiveness objections at OHIM.

Katie is a member of HGF’s Retail Team and Food and Drink Team. She presents at HGF events and provides training to clients on topics which have in the past included Notice and Takedown Procedures and changes in trade mark practice.
