Dr Jonathan Moodie
Jonathan is a European and UK qualified patent attorney. He has notable technical expertise in the fields of composite materials as well as medical devices and orthopaedics. He also has experience of aeronautical engineering, automotive engineering and wind energy sectors.
Jonathan has experience of prosecuting patent applications in various jurisdictions, including before the UK Intellectual Property Office, the European Patent Office (EPO) and the World Intellectual Property Office.
Jonathan also has experience of patent oppositions before the EPO, drafting patent applications, providing infringement and freedom to operate opinions, performing due diligence and reviewing IP activities to maximise benefit from the patent box initiative.
Prior to joining HGF Jonathan worked for a top tier firm in London and for the in-house patent department of a multinational composite materials company. Prior to entering the patent profession he worked in technology transfer at Imperial Innovations, working with medical technology inventions that were developed at Imperial College.
Jonathan has a master’s degree in Biomedical Engineering and a PhD in Biomechanics, both from Imperial College, London.
