Haris graduated in September 2018, with a First Class MSci degree in Physics from UCL. Over the course of Haris' degree he undertook modules from a wide range of fields within physics. These include quantum physics, solid state physics, medical physics and theoretical physics. Some of the modules Haris studied included advanced quantum theory, MRI & biomedical imaging, atoms & lasers, and order & excitations in condensed matter.
One of the projects Haris worked on as part of his degree aimed to design an experiment which exhibits quantised conductance.
In Haris' final year project, he worked with 2D materials known as layered double hydroxides. These materials have a wide range of applications from catalysis to removing contaminants from nuclear waste.
