Experience

Elliot works in the engineering group and has particular expertise in the automotive, bio-engineering and medical device sectors. He also utilises his background in chemistry to advise on pharmaceutical and chemical composition patent applications.

Elliot works closely with all types of clients, from start-ups and universities to large corporations, to develop a bespoke IP strategy suited to their current and future commercial needs. His day-to-day work involves leading IP portfolios and strategy for various biotech and medtech SMEs, and representing clients before the European Patent Office in opposition and appeal matters.

Elliot also has experience working as an in-house IP counsel at both start-ups and multi-national corporations, and so always aims to provide pragmatic and commercial-focused advice to his clients.

Elliot's aim is to support his clients on their business journey by working closely with them to capture and protect their IP, and develop an appropriate IP strategy to ensure that they meet their commercial goals.
