Dr Patrick Clarke
Patrick joined HGF in 2014 and specialises in the drafting and prosecution of telecommunications and consumer electronics related patent applications. Prior to joining HGF he completed two-and-half years training at a leading private practice firm.
Patrick attended the University of York in the UK where he achieved a distinction in Electronic Engineering at undergraduate level and a PhD in Electronic Engineering, where his PhD research specialised in adaptive signal processing for wireless communications. Patrick also holds a post-graduate Certificate in Intellectual Property Law from Queen Mary, University of London, UK.
During his training he has gained significant experience in the drafting and prosecution of computer-implemented inventions and telecommunications and consumer electronics related patent applications for large multinational companies and SMEs. He also has experience in presenting before the Opposition Division at the EPO and in hearings before the IPO.
