Dr Lauris Kemp
Lauris’ practice covers a wide range of biotechnology, including diagnostics, cancer therapies, phage technology, food technology, medical devices and microfluidics for biological applications including single cell sequencing.
Lauris works with a wide range of clients and has particular expertise in co-ordinating global prosecution for US in-house counsel.
Lauris joined HGF in 2019 after working at a large patent firm in Glasgow for 5 years. She trained at a top tier firm in London and Cambridge.
Lauris holds a first class honours degree in biochemistry and Immunology. She also has a PhD in protein crystallography. Prior to joining the patent profession in 2009, she was a post-doctoral scientist for 6 years at the University of Cambridge, UK, working on crystallising protein complexes implicated in cancer.
