Dr Jaclyn Dunn

Trainee Patent Attorney

Jaclyn joined HGF in March 2018 as a Trainee Patent Attorney at our Glasgow office.

Jaclyn graduated with an MSci in Forensic & Analytical Chemistry from University of Strathclyde in 2009. During her degree, she completed a year long placement with Pfizer Global Manufacturing and submitted a final year research project on the application of infrared spectroscopy to crystallisation monitoring. She then obtained a PhD from the department of Chemical and Process Engineering at same institution for research in the use of laser diagnostics (namely laser induced fluorescence and laser induced incandescence) to study combustion.

Following this Jaclyn was employed as a research associate within the cross-industry consortium CPACT (Centre for Process Analytics and Control Technology), where she worked on a variety of projects involving the application of spectroscopic methods to either monitor or control a range of chemical processes. Subsequently, she moved to the pharmaceutical sector where she was involved in the implementation of new analytical technologies.
