Patent Attorney

Frazer is a Patent Attorney working in the Engineering Team in the Sheffield office. Frazer’s expertise lies in the area of materials science and engineering, specialising in tissue engineering and implantable medical devices. Frazer joined HGF in 2018. 

Frazer advises on all patent matters from novelty and freedom to operate searches, prosecution at home and abroad, and patent enforcement.

Frazer qualified as a UK and European Patent Attorney in 2018. Frazer is also a Chartered and European Trade Mark Attorney and is therefore able to provide a holistic approach to clients, ensuring all valuable intellectual property is exploited.

Before joining HGF, Frazer obtained the following degrees from the University of Sheffield: Master of Chemistry, Master or Research in Biomedicine, and a PhD in Tissue Engineering.

Frazer’s PhD investigated biodegradable polymeric fibrous scaffolds as medical implants for the treatment of conditions such as cleft palate and pelvic organ prolapse. The interdisciplinary nature of these studies at the junction between medicine, engineering, and the physical sciences, has equipped Frazer with the tools to handle a wide array of subject matter.

Frazer entered the profession in 2013 with a medium sized practice where he completed his training. Frazer worked closely with a variety of SME’s at all stages from startup to established and growing businesses involved in all kinds of industries and technologies including software, medical devices, domestic/industrial appliances, and utilities.
