Dominic's trade mark practice covers a diverse range of industries including pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, telecommunications, electronics, banking, software, confectionery, fashion and online marketplaces.

Dominic has a broad knowledge of trade mark prosecution before the UK Intellectual Property Office, the European Union Intellectual Property Office and in other countries. He specialises in in providing clients with international trade mark filing strategies, with clear costings and tiered filing actions, where appropriate, in countries around the world. In terms of contentious matters, Dominic has considerable expertise in direct advocacy work before the UK Intellectual Property Office and the European Intellectual Property Office, including representing clients before the Appointed Person on Appeal in the UK and appealing decisions to the Boards of Appeal at the EUIPO. 

Dominic is an Honours graduate in Biochemistry and a PhD in Genetics. Additionally, Dominic worked as a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Centre for Advanced Biotechnology and Medicine (CABM) at Rutgers University in the USA, under Professor Michael Shen. During his postdoc, Dominic researched gene expression patterns during mammalian development using Gene Chip Array technology. Dominic also promoted Pharmaceuticals for GSK and Organon. Due to this depth of experience, Dominic has a wide range of experience advising Pharmaceutical and Biotechnology clients on Trade Mark matters. 

In addition to trade marks, Dominic regularly files and prosecutes design applications in the UK, EU and further afield.
